From Workshop to World-Class Manufacturer
Solid Carbide Direct/KY Tools Ltd was founded in 1998 in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. What started as a small workshop with 10 machines has grown into a specialist carbide tooling manufacturer trusted by engine builders, textile machinery makers, and mold shops across Europe, North America, and beyond.
We don't try to make everything. Our focus has always been deep-hole internal coolant drills and difficult custom carbide tooling — the applications where geometry precision and coating quality matter most.
Over 25 years, we have built manufacturing partnerships with Walter Ewag AG (grinding), ANCA (multi-axis grinding), ZOLLER (metrology), and Oerlikon Balzers (Swiss PVD coating). The result is a factory capable of producing tooling that performs at the level of the world's largest tool manufacturers — at direct factory pricing.
