Insert Change Process

Keep spindle in machine
No need to remove the shank body. Insert change is performed in-machine with minimal disruption.

Use T8 Torx key
Loosen the single clamping screw counterclockwise until the insert releases from the pocket.
3
Swap insert
Seat the new HCD-16.0-16.9 insert firmly into the pocket. Verify seating before tightening.
4
Torque to spec
Tighten the clamping screw to the specified torque. Do not overtighten — this prevents pocket wear.
