High-Performance Three-Point Flat Bottom Carbide Drills

The Three-Point Flat Bottom Carbide Drill is engineered for applications that require high-accuracy hole positioning and a truly flat base. Unlike standard twist drills built around 118 or 135-degree point angles, this tool uses a unique 180-degree flat-bottom geometry combined with a centering point and outer spurs — making it highly suitable for blind-hole machining and counterboring.
Self-centering brad point: the precision-ground center point engages immediately at the first touch, preventing “walking” and drifting during the initial cut. That reduces the need for center drilling and improves positional consistency.

Outer cutting action and stable guidance work together to protect hole geometry. When combined with appropriate cutting parameters and a coolant strategy matched to your machine, the tool supports predictable hole flatness with reduced secondary finishing time.
If you need blind holes with a controlled flat base and stable positioning, send your hole diameter, depth or counterbore requirement, material and hardness, and the coolant pressure available on your machine. We will propose the best three-point flat-bottom drill configuration for your programme and inspection plan.
